Junior American Legion Baseball
Gaithersburg Post 295 will be holding
tryouts for the Junior Post 295 team on Sundays April 20
& 26th from 11am to 2pm at Northwest High School.
Players must live in the Northwest,
Seneca and Quince Orchard School Districts and be from
13 to 16 years of age.

Armed Forces Tribute Rides, May 17, Laytonsville Parade
Fellow Legionnaires,
Post 295 has grown significantly over the past few years. At
this time, (April 4th) we are 3 members short of being the
2nd largest American Legion Post in Montgomery County. That
is an awesome achievement for a
Post that had 27 members in 2003!
Our
program Operation Provide Comfort has been a success. We
have provided more than $10,000 in support to our Wounded
Warriors at Bethesda Naval Hospital and Walter Reed. To keep
the program moving we are raffling an Armed Forces Tribute

Post 295
meets at the Golden Bull Grand Cafe, 7 Dalamar St,
Gaithersburg every 2d Thursday at 7pm. Please RSVP by email
so that we are able to get the right seating.
We do not
have a Post home. There are several hurdles to overcome
before we take that step. As a non-profit we accept
donations to work toward a Post home.

A
new season is coming and a new team. For the 1st
time Post 295 will be fielding a Junior American
Legion Baseball Team for youths from 14 to 16 years
of age.
We are at 130% of the '08 Membership Goal! as
of April 15th. Congratulations to all!

Pay your dues online, select
this link... You will be billed $25 for 2008.
Please send your receipt from National so that your
2008 card will be mailed to you.
Dues for
2009 will be $30. Like any organization costs of increased.
With this increase we will be able to continue our programs
with the Boy Scouts of America, Operation Provide Comfort,
Blue Star Banner Program and American Legion Baseball.

Paid-Up-For-Life, Pay the $22 rate until September 11,
after that the PUFL Rate is $25. Next years, as of 1.1.2009,
will be $25 and $30. If you have a question contact the

for the 2009 Legion Year to $30. The 1st dues
mailing from National is 1 August. Be an Early Bird and pay
from June 1st to Sept 11. All dues are payable in advance
and to stay active dues must be paid by December 31st.
